Meet Theo, the Frenchie who loves to cuddle, play with his friends and the occasional squeaking ball! He was such a well behaved puppy (he was only 9 months at the time of our shoot!) and is crazy for his dad!
Now, I was warned before his shoot that Theo was a bit of a camera hound but never have I experienced a dog that was so fascinated with my camera before. Theo worked the close-ups and had laser beam focus, making sure I got his best angles! But really what can be cuter staring back through the lens at me than this little frenchie with the perfect little heart nose, really?
Theo was an absolute pleasure to photograph! Here are a few of my favourites, enjoy!!

A few months after photographing Mojo last August – I got word that he had suddenly passed away. His parents were devastated and in shock. I felt horrible. It’s hard not to fall in love with all the dogs I photograph – and it was very upsetting to hear that this had happened to not only an amazing dog but to amazing dog parents.
I’ve been writing and re-writing this post for a while, but I’ve just been at a loss for words. I usually write in celebration of each dog I photograph, writing about their little quirks and memories from their session with a smile. I guess it took me a while to realize the same could be done for Mojo – we can celebrate him through his photographs, and through the memories.
Although his session was almost a year ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday. The first time I saw him I noticed his smile was a little too big for his face – which automatically made me smile. In fact as we walked around the park people walking by him would smile too. He walked with a little spring and his happiness was contagious.
He was a little ball of crazy energy which didn’t make for the easiest model but it sure made for an entertaining session. He would sit just long enough for me to barely get the shot then he would be off doing the next thing! We all laughed as he fell into the water, chased a bird and then a couple in a kayak, rolled around in a tall bushes only to reveal himself by flopping his leg out… he was a big charmer, with a lot of mischievousness, extremely energetic and he left this earth much too soon.
I am completely honored I was able to photograph Mojo and give his parents these images that they will cherish forever. Here are a few of my favourites from his session.

Yay, it’s officially Spring!!! Although it’s not looking (or feeling) very spring-like outside I’m optimistic that soon we will hear the birds chirping and feel that sun shining! So what’s a better way to celebrate the anticipation for weather change then little Miss. Molly dancing!
More of Molly and her equally adorable brother Dexter coming soon!
